The perfect Black Berry Frosting.

  • 1 Cup of Butter – Room Temp
  • 5 Cups of Powder Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Heaving Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Cup of Fresh Black Berries
  • 1 Lemon
  • ½ tsp. salt


  1. In a small bowl add the blackberries, 2 Tbsp. of the juice from the Lemon and the Zest of the Lemon. Bring to simmer for 6 -7 Minutes. The mixture will coat the back of the spoon when cooked enough.  Strain over a bowl to remove the seeds.  Allow the mixture to cool – ¼ Cup of Puree.  
  2. In a mixing bowl add Powder Sugar, butter and cream together. Add the Whipping Cream 1 Tbsp. at a time then the vanilla and salt.
  3. Then add the chilled blackberry Sauce. Cream together for about 5 minutes until you have the perfect creamy frosting.
  4. Decorate your favorite cake or cupcakes.
