Misfit Sugar Plum Cookie

  • 2 Cups unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 3 Tsp vanilla
  • 4 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1Tsp salt
  • ¼ Cup of Plum Jelly
  • ¼ Cup of Blackberry Jelly


  1. Cream the Butter and Sugar together in the bowl of an electric mixer on low to medium speed
  2. Add Eggs slowly and mix. Scrape down the bowl with your spatula at least once and mix again.
  3. Add liquid vanilla extract. Stir briefly.
  4. Sift your dry ingredients together. (Flour, cocoa powder and salt).
  5. Add all of the Flour to the bowl. Mix on low speed for 3 seconds.
  6. Remove the Dough to a Large Bowl and Cover with Clear Wrap and Refrigerate for 30 Minutes.
  7. In a small bowl combine the Plum and Blackberry jelly together.
  8. Remove from Chilled and Roll out 2” Balls and place on Cookie Sheet.  3 Cookies per Row
  9. Take the end of a 1Tsp. and press down into each center ball. This will make a well.
  10. Add a small mixture of the Plum | Blackberry Jelly to the centers
  11. Preheat Oven to 350°F or 176°C.
  12. Bake cookies for 8-12 minutes or until the center of the cookie no longer looks wet. The baking time will depend on the size of your cookie.
  13. Remove on Cookie Sheet to Chill
  14. Serve and Enjoy
