Bacon Green Beans

Who doesn’t want the flavor of bacon with Green Beans. Perfect veggie to serve alongside a great meal.

  • 4 cups fresh Green Beans
  • ½ diced medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Bacon Fat
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 strips of cooked chopped bacon.
  • 1 tsp. pepper


  1. Cut ends from fresh green beans and rinse.  Use a Steam Pot for this dish.  Add the water and bacon fat to bottom of pot then strainer.
  2. Place Green Beans and diced white onion.  Sprinkle with black pepper to taste. Including the 2 strips of cooked half way through chopped bacon.  Cover and steam for 15 minutes or until done.  Do not overcook you still want some crisp.
  3. When green beans are cooked to your preference remove from steamer and place in dish sprinkle chopped fully cooked bacon for garnish.
